Happy Noodle 幸福的麵條 – Incomplete

Hello again ^^ As promised, Happy Noodle is the third drama I’m working on. What’s different this time round, though, is that I don’t have unlimited time to work on it. I just got news that I’ve been hired by a company in Taiwan, and while this is wonderful news and makes me absolutely ecstatic, it also makes my schedule much more pressed for time. I’ll be moving there just as January starts, but I may be moving house even before that date in preparation, not to mention all the paperwork I have to prepare. My contract in Taiwan lasts approx. 2 years, so there are a lot of things to put in order first.

As a result of this news, for this drama, I decided to release it in installments. There are two versions available, just like with One and a Half Summer; one version was aired in Mainland China whereas the other was aired in Taiwan. Once again, they tell the same basic story, but some scenes have been cut and some been added depending on the version. I watched the first 5 episodes of both before deciding to go ahead and sub the Taiwan version because I liked how it flowed better (you can call me biased :p) I thought once I got through the Taiwan version that I’d go ahead and go back to sub the Mainland China version, but with how crunched for time my schedule’s become, I might not be able to do that ><

The schedule I decided on is the release the video with the subs every 10 episodes. That means after this post, there are three more to look forward to (hooray for maths~). I ripped the Taiwan version of Happy Noodle off of a YouTube source (heh…), so that’s why I’m uploading them myself for DDL. Once I’ve subbed the entire series, I’ll put up to torrent version. (Or I might do it before then. Depends what people’s needs are ^^) Subs will still be released via that nifty site D-Addicts.

One and a Half Summer 一又二分之一的夏天 C-drama – Complete!

The second drama I’ve completed subbing. I had a lot better time with this one than Meteor Shower for sure. That’s not just because I liked the story and characters better either (I wrote a review of the series if you’re interested; read it here. I’m Draagon everywhere oo~) It’s more that I began translating on the 9th of June and finished by the 21st of August. That’s only 73 days! Compare that to 4 years, and everything just looks a bit more rosy #^.^#

I decided to release the subs on D-addicts as I completed them just because it’s a more established site and a good place to reach a larger audience, which worked (I think) for the most part. That’s the method I’m most likely going to use for future releases too. It was nice to get some feedback too o.o That’s probably what surprised me the most after I finished. Thanks to abugemilang and \( -o _ o- )/~ I appreciate the kind words ^ㅅ^/
